Laser Hair Removal Q&A

Here's what you need to know about our technology and procedures.

1. What type of laser do you use?

Aura uses Cutera® Xeo® Nd:YAG technology.

2. What other treatments can you do with Xeo®?

The Cutera® Xeo platform offers skin resurfacing, hair removal and vascular removal.

3. Who is the best candidate for laser hair removal with this technology?

Laser is effective by targeting pigment, so blond, red, white or grey hair will not respond.

4. How long do I have to wait between sessions?

Each body part has a different hair cycle, so the time between appointments will vary.

5. Do I need some preparation for my first visit?

Shave the zone prior your appointment, do not wax or tweeze any hair.

6. What is the after care?

No extreme heat for the next 72 hours after your session such as sauna, sun exposure, steam pools, etc.

7. Can I numb my skin before the treatment?

This will be at the discretion of your technician. It is not recommended for your first treatment.

8. Can I drink alcohol or smoke marijuana before my treatment?

No.

9. How does my menstrual cycle affect the treatment?

Your cycle affects how you tolerate pain. It is preferred to book post menstrual.
